WoooooHooooo!!!

WoooHoooo, I finished the crochet flower cushion!!!!

I am pretty happy with the result, although I think it maybe a little too full, suppose to be a cushion not a ball, but that's ok!

It was fun to watch the flower take shape and not a complex pattern at all to follow.  Will have to practice by doing another one - I think this one needs a partner!

Let me know what you think?

See you on the other side!!

Work still to be done!

Front complete!

Wow, this is a little ta dah moment really! I am really amazed at how easy it was to complete and that in 29? rows I only had to undo one (pretty impressive I can follow a pattern after all).  Now the work needed to complete: 1. Sew in all the ends that are on the wrong side. 2. Complete the pattern for the back. 3. Make an insert as I wasn't able to locate a circular cushion insert (shouldn't be too hard, two circles sewn together and stuffed!!!). 4. Assemble said pieces.....wish me luck!

I am hoping that once it is stretched a bit it will spread the petals a little.

Then I should be able to get back to my hexies..........unless I do another one - VERY ADDICTIVE!

See you on the other side!

Update

After a weekend of hooking (not all weekend) this is the flower so far!!

My little assistant!

Needs 10 or so more rows, then we have a front completed.  I have enjoyed myself getting back into crochet, things move quickly when crocheting!!

See you on the other side soon

My New project

Well this is exciting, a new project and a blog posting!!!!!  Slowly does it.  Lucy at Attic 24 is inspiring with what she can whip up.  Her ability to convert from other's patterns then combine the colours has me drooling when I see her Ta- Dah moments.  The last one, Blooming Flower Cushion has got me though and I am going to have a try and post my progress for those that are interested.

My Chosen colours
Maybe not as bright but a good mix for my little project.

Wish me well and see you on FJMK's other side!
